How anything gets made
Every object begins as a story. We write about someone, and occasionally that turns into something you can hold — rather than designing a product and going looking for a maker.
The maker is named on the object and paid a share, not a fee. Runs are small and finite. When a run is gone it is gone, and nothing is reissued to meet demand.
Where the maker already sells something better, we say so and send you to theirs.
